Kim Weitkamp

She caught us in mid-stride.

Renee and I were semi-struggling up a hill at the National Storytellers’ Festival and walked by Kim Weitkamp‘s tent. In a wet-eyed story about her mother, she was picking the guitar “clean as country water” and singing in mirror-smooth resonance with pitches hung on a laser beam. Breath support in a velvet death grip.

We sat on the grass by the street, then bought her CD.

Addendum: Jan. 2012. Kim taught a seminar in marketing for storytellers at the Southeastern Center for Storytelling Arts at Laurenburg NC. Lew learned more than he could possibly retain.

Kim is available as a storyteller, keynote speaker, singer/songwriter and marketing specialist with her own microphone-to-shrinkwrap production studio.
